Quick-test Pressure Hoses
Ralston Quick-test and microbore hoses for pressure calibration — QT, XT, Male NPT, medium-pressure, tube QC, AN flare, tube stub, and related assemblies already listed on this site.
Common products on this site
- Quick-test hoses — Ralston Quick-test hoses and Quick-test XT hoses for wrench-free gauge and transmitter changeouts.
- Threaded / specialty ends — Male NPT hoses, medium-pressure hoses, 37° AN flare hoses, tube quick-connect hoses, and tube stub hoses.
- Hose reel — Ralston QTHR Quick-test hose reel for organized high-pressure testing (with or without hose, per product options).
Choosing a hose
- Pressure rating — stay within the printed working pressure for the media you use.
- End connections — Quick-test, Quick-test XT, NPT, AN, tube QC — match your adapters and UUT.
- Length and flexibility — shorter for bench; longer for awkward field UUTs.
- Media compatibility — pneumatic vs hydraulic; avoid contamination into dry gauges.
Quick-test advantage
Ralston Quick-test ends connect without tools and seal with a finger-tight make-up, which speeds gauge and transmitter changeouts during as-found / as-left work. XT variants extend the same idea into higher working pressures where the OEM rating allows.

Ralston hose selection guide
Pick the hose by the connection at the device under test, then check the working pressure. All ratings are Ralston's.
- Quick-test to Quick-test, to 6,900 psi (475 bar): Quick-test hoses with brass (QTQT) or stainless (QSQS) female ends. They attach and detach without a wrench or thread sealant.
- Quick-test XT, to 10,000 psi (689 bar): Quick-test XT hoses with stainless ends make bubble-tight connections. They are pin-pricked for natural gas and not recommended for helium or argon. Use XTHA adapters, not QTHA, with them.
- Tube fittings (Swagelok, Parker, Hoke, SSP, Tylok or similar):
- Tube Quick-connect hoses seal on an o-ring, need no wrench, and are rated to 6,900 psi, in 1/4 in or 1/8 in, brass or stainless, 2 to 50 ft.
- Tube stub hoses replace rigid tube where it would stress the fittings, in 1 to 50 ft lengths.
- 7/16-20 UNF (Autoclave Engineers, High Pressure Equipment, Butech, AMETEK Crystal): medium pressure hoses.
- -04 male 37° AN flare: 37° AN flare hoses. 2L ends connect without a wrench to 5,000 psi, and 2J ends make a wrench-tight connection to 10,000 psi.
- Female NPT port: male NPT hoses in 1/8 in and 1/4 in, with non-swivel ends for permanent attachment to a valve or an alternative Quick-connect.
- Long runs: the QTHR hose reel keeps Quick-test hose pressurized while spooled, for working pressures up to 5,000 psi.
Ralston builds its microbore hoses with a reinforced polyamide inner core and a reflective outer cover. That keeps volume low and stable through bends and reduces temperature sensitivity.
Frequently asked questions
What is the pressure rating of Ralston Quick-test hoses?
Quick-test hoses are rated to 6,900 psi (475 bar) working pressure. Quick-test XT hoses are rated to 10,000 psi (689 bar).
Can Quick-test XT hoses be used with helium or argon?
Ralston does not recommend Quick-test XT hoses for helium or argon. They are pin-pricked for natural gas applications.
Do Quick-test XT hoses work with QTHA adapters?
No. Ralston specifies XTHA adapters for Quick-test XT hoses.
How do I connect a hose to a Swagelok-style tube fitting without a wrench?
Use Ralston tube Quick-connect hoses. They seal on an o-ring, fit Swagelok, Parker, Hoke, SSP, Tylok or similar tube fittings, and can be made and re-made hundreds of times without over-tightening the fitting.
Which hose connects to Autoclave-style 7/16-20 fittings?
Ralston medium pressure hoses connect directly to Autoclave Engineers, High Pressure Equipment, Butech, AMETEK Crystal and other 7/16-20 UNF connections.
Pairing
Hoses pair with pumps & generation and fittings & adapters. Product pages list OEM-compatible ends where known.
Note
Hoses are not calibrated instruments; keep them clean and within rating, and calibrate the reference gauge or calibrator.
