• **Pressure rating** — stay within the printed working pressure for the media you use.
• **End connections** — Quick-test, NPT, AN, tube QC — match your adapters and UUT.
• **Length and flexibility** — shorter for bench; longer for awkward field UUTs.
• **Media compatibility** — pneumatic vs hydraulic; avoid contamination into dry gauges.
