Overview
The Crystal XP2i is one of the world’s most popular digital test gauges — ultra-rugged, intrinsically safe, and accurate enough that a single gauge typically replaces five or more of-scale instruments. Accuracy is 0.1% of reading (or 0.02% / 0.05% of full scale). Ranges run through 15,000 psi. AMETEK's XP2i manual names Crystal Engineering Corporation as the company that designs, manufactures and services the XP2i, nVision and 30 Series; Crystal Engineering pressure gauges pioneered full temperature compensation and "of reading" accuracy ratings.
The marine-grade enclosure resists corrosion. Accuracy is unaffected from −10 to 50°C. Fast PSV mode, peak/valley capture, and calibration reminders are built in. The optional DataLoggerXP upgrade records up to 32,000 points over a year of continuous use with Ultra Low Power mode. ConfigXP software customizes units and features over RS-232.
Every XP2i includes an ISO 17025 / A2LA calibration certificate with NIST-traceable data. Everyday wear shifts to a replaceable Crystal CPF adapter.
XP2i options (AMETEK)
- -S2 / -S5: 0.02% or 0.05% of full scale accuracy, instead of the standard 0.1% of reading.
- -DL DataLoggerXP: records up to 32,000 measurements. The software handles transfer to your PC and can update the gauge firmware.
- -DD dual line display: a second display line shows peaks, average, leak rate, or differential pressure when the XP2i is connected to a second gauge with an ordinary DB-9 null modem cable. AMETEK recommends it for relief valve and leak testing.
- -F4 panel mounting: a 4.5 in panel mount kit with a rear pressure port, to replace a 6 in or 8.5 in panel-mount gauge. -RP rear port fitting is also available on its own.
- Process connections: -BSP G ¼ B parallel fitting, or -M20 M20 x 1.5 male CPF adapter.
- AMETEKCal: discounted three-year calibration program.
