Overview
The PIE 901 is a diagnostic loop and pressure calibrator for 4–20 mA, voltage, and pressure (via cable-connected or future Bluetooth PIE pressure modules). Source and read to 24.000 mA, simulate two-wire transmitters, and power the loop with ≥24 V @ 20 mA while using Ground Leak Detection to find hidden faults.
Milliamp accuracy is ≤ ±(0.01% of reading + 0.002 mA)—tighter than many dedicated loop calibrators. DC voltage read covers −60.000 to 60.000 V at ≤ ±(0.02% of reading + 0.01% FS). Color graphic display with LED backlighting aids readability in the plant.
Isolation of 60 V rms between milliamp/voltage functions and pressure. Made in the USA; calibrated on NIST-traceable equipment.
Features (PIE)
- Milliamps: source and read 0.000 to 24.000 mA and −25.00 to 125.00% of 4–20 mA; simulate a 2-wire transmitter, or power and read it. Accuracy ±(0.01% of reading + 0.002 mA).
- Voltage: source 0.000 to 24.000 VDC; read −60.000 to 60.000 VDC. Accuracy ±(0.02% of reading + 0.01% of full scale).
- Pressure: with optional pressure modules, a dual display of milliamps and pressure for calibrating I/P and P/I transducers and pressure gauges. PIE offers pressure modules, hand pumps and tubing kits.
- Bluetooth: for use with PIE wireless pressure modules.
- Current leak detection: shows loop current and leakage current, to find ground leakage from faulty wiring, flooded conduit or corrosion bridges.
- Display and controls: large color display with color-coded menus; three-output EZ-CHECK switch, two-speed EZ-DIAL, stepping and ramping.

Rubber boot, deluxe hands-free carrying case, USB-C charger, 4 NiMH rechargeable batteries and test leads.
