Overview

The PIE 235 sources three ranges of millivolt and voltage DC plus percent of 1 to 5 V for calibrating voltage, millivolt, and pH signal instruments. Source −500.00 to 999.00 mV, 1.000 to 5.000 V, 0.000 to 20.000 V, and −25.0 to 125.0% of 1 to 5 V. Measure those ranges plus 0.00 to 60.00 V DC for checking loop power supplies and instrument outputs.

pH simulation covers 0.000 to 14.000 pH @ 25 °C (corresponding to +414.12 to −414.12 mV) so you can verify transmitters and analyzers before placing a probe in buffer. Headline voltage accuracy is ≤ ±(0.02% of reading + 0.01% of full scale) on primary ranges.

Includes four AA batteries and a NIST-traceable calibration card; rubber boot for field protection. Made in the USA.

Features (PIE)

  • Source: −500.00 to 999.00 mV, 1.000 to 5.000 V, −25.00 to +125.00% of 1 to 5 V, and 0.000 to 20.000 V. The 20 V range extends to 24.000 V, so the 235 can power loops with loads over 1,000 Ω.
  • Read DC volts: −500.00 to +999.00 mV, 0.000 to 5.100 V, −25.0 to 125.0% of 1 to 5 V, 0 to 20.000 V and 0.00 to 60.00 V, for checking loop supplies, I/V converters and 1 to 5 V signals.
  • Live-loop voltage inputs: clip the leads across the voltage input of a recorder or monitor in a live 4 to 20 mA loop without disconnecting wires.
  • pH simulation: simulate pH probes into transmitters and analyzers before the probe goes into a buffer.
  • Stepping and ramping: store three outputs on the EZ-CHECK switch; step in 2, 3, 5 or 11 steps (100%, 50%, 25% or 10% of span) or ramp continuously, with step/ramp times from 5 to 60 seconds.
  • Build and power: rubber boot and attached test leads included; four AA batteries in a separate compartment, changed without tools.
