PIE 322 Thermocouple Calibrator

Overview

The PIECAL 322 sources and measures the four most common thermocouples—types J, K, T, and E—directly in °C or °F, and calibrates from −13.000 to +80.000 mV. Cold-junction compensation is ±0.1 °C via a NIST-traceable thermistor bonded to an isothermal mass with brass screw terminals and a miniature thermocouple connector.

Set any temperature within 0.1° with the digital dial, store three values for EZ-CHECK™, and auto-step or ramp outputs to match your system. Connect to transmitter, PLC, DCS, and recorder thermocouple inputs, or measure probes to find broken or corroded connections.

Rubber boot, tilt stand, and backlit display are included for shop, plant, or field use. Made in the USA with a NIST-traceable Certificate of Calibration.

• Resolution and accuracy: resolution to 0.1 °F and °C, accurate to 0.2°. The cold-junction sensor is accurate to 0.10 °C.
• Faster calibrations: three outputs selectable instantly with the EZ-CHECK switch. Find trip points with the two-speed EZ-DIAL knob and automatic stepping.
• Easy setup: double-click to change the T/C type and switch between °F and °C.
• Display: backlight for dark areas of the plant.
• Build: rubber boot and mV test leads included; low-profile switches; brass screws for T/C wires plus a mini T/C socket.
• Batteries: four AA batteries, changed without tools.
