Data Loggers & Data Logging Meters

A data logger records measurements over time so you can download and review them later. This page lists the standalone data loggers we sell (REED temperature/humidity and AC voltage/current loggers), the data logging meters that measure and record in one handheld instrument, and the Crystal nVision reference pressure recorder.

Standalone data loggers

  • REED R6020 Temperature & Humidity USB Data Logger: stores up to 16,000 temperature and 16,000 humidity readings, −40 to 158°F (−40 to 70°C) and 0 to 100% RH. It plugs straight into a USB port to download (no cables), has a sampling rate from 2 seconds to 24 hours, an LED alarm for set max/min values, and a wall mount bracket for long-term monitoring.
  • REED R6030 Temperature & Humidity Datalogger: the same 32k-reading memory and ranges, with a dual LCD that shows current temperature, humidity, min/max and date/time. It downloads through the included USB cable and software and has a wall mount bracket with a security lock.
  • REED R5003 AC Voltage/Current Data Logger: a dual input TRMS datalogger that records up to 256,000 AC voltage and current measurements (10 to 600V AC, 10 to 200A AC), with a sample rate from 1 second to 24 hours. Two AC current clamp sensors and two voltage sensors are included. CAT. III 600V.

Data logging meters

These meters measure and log in the same instrument.

Choosing a data logger

  • Standalone logger or data logging meter: a standalone datalogger such as the R6020 or R6030 is left in place for long-term monitoring; a data logging meter is a handheld instrument that also records.
  • Sampling rate and memory: the R6020 and R6030 sample from 2 seconds to 24 hours and hold 16,000 temperature plus 16,000 humidity readings; the R5003 samples from 1 second to 24 hours and holds 256,000 measurements.
  • Software: the R6020, R6030 and R5003 include PC software compatible with Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11.

Frequently asked questions

Which data logger records temperature and humidity?

The REED R6020 USB data logger and the REED R6030 datalogger both record temperature (−40 to 158°F / −40 to 70°C) and humidity (0 to 100% RH), storing 16,000 readings of each. The R6030 adds an LCD display.

How do I download data from a REED data logger?

The R6020 plugs directly into a computer's USB port. The R6030 and R5003 connect with the included USB cable. All three include software for Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11.

Which data logger records AC voltage and current?

The REED R5003 dual input TRMS datalogger records two voltage or current measurements, or one of each, up to 256,000 measurements in total.

What is the difference between a data logger and a data logging meter?

A data logger is built mainly to record unattended over time. A data logging meter, such as the R2450SD thermometer or R8070SD sound level meter, is a handheld measuring instrument that can also log its readings.

Can a data logger ship with an accredited calibration certificate?

ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration is available on eligible instruments; ask at quote. The Crystal nVision ships with an ISO 17025 / A2LA accredited calibration certificate.
